The Baden-Württemberg Congress was once again a sensation!

Over 60 exhibiting companies, from the KIGI & GreenTech BW sector to the trade exhibition area, covered topics such as education and training, research, innovations & new technologies, best practice examples, support services, and funding programs.

Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I could only attend the first day, but the long journey from Hamburg was definitely worth it, even for just one day!

This year, Dr.-Ing. Hannes Spieth, Managing Director of Umwelttechnik BW, had the honor of opening the congress. Prof. Dr. Marcel Fratzscher, Sascha Singer, and Norbert Heckmann presented key aspects of industrial transformation, offering insights into AI, overlapping technologies & competencies, innovations, and continuous growth.

My morning concluded with an engaging forum program, where I had the opportunity to participate in the roundtable discussion on industrial transformation.

Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I was able to attend the event. After many interesting discussions, I was delighted to see the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Energy of Baden-Württemberg, Ms. Thekla Walker, MdL, in the afternoon during the next plenary presentations.

Both the Minister and the Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, Cem Özdemir, MdL, who arrived somewhat late, clearly expressed their support in the fight against climate change in their speeches.

The fact that the Minister for Economic Affairs, Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, MdL, attended the congress on day two underscores the high regard shown to all companies in Baden-Württemberg that are seizing the opportunities presented by the dynamic GreenTech sector. The motto: “Just do it” – please keep it up!
