Stefan Mayer, Director of Sustainability & Compliance for Harro Hoefliger Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH, participated in the 31st GMP Conference in Kassel from November 5th to 6th, 2025. The conference was organized by PTS Training Service.
Following an engaging presentation by Prof. Dr. Lars C. Grabbe from Münster University of Applied Sciences on the topic: “Is Technology the Solution? Creativity in a Societal Context,” participants from the pharmaceutical industry and representatives of government agencies presented and discussed many other important topics.
Key topics included:
• GMP Update and Regulatory GMP Outlook
• Current Developments from an EU Perspective
• Cloud, AI, Data, and Digitalization
• Is Technology the Solution?
• GMP in clinical trials
• International inspections
• Sustainability and GMP
• Current drafts of Annex 11 and Annex 22 of the EU GMP Guide
and the draft of Chapter 4
At the end of one of three masterclass sessions, Stefan Mayer was able to present some further points on the topics of qualification and validation to the audience (approx. 100 participants).
In summary, it was an exciting and informative few days with excellent communication and an interesting preview of the 32nd GMP Conference, which will take place in Mannheim on November 3-4, 2026.
