Stefan Paul Mayer trained as a mechanical and reinforced concrete constructor and focused on process engineering and optimisation early in his career.
After several years as operations manager at a natural medicine manufacturer, he worked for 10 years as an independent technical consultant and designer.
During this time, he supported, among other projects, the establishment of a major pharmaceutical development site in India as site manager.
He then spent another 10 years leading technical development at a large, internationally active pharmaceutical company in the field of inhalation, gaining extensive expertise in pharmaceutical regulatory procedures.
He is an expert in the qualification of machinery and the validation and verification of pharmaceutical processes.
